Job Description: Marinette Marine Corporation, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Coast Guard and United States Navy, as well as commercial vessels. We currently have an opportunity for a Change Coordinator at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.
The Change Coordinator provides coordination of identified changes, including the tracking of said changes, and liaison duties across multiple engineering disciplines. This position is responsible for compiling cost and labor data on multiple changes, reviewing changes for completeness, and requesting additional information from the Customer when required. Other duties include writing impact statements, documenting overall change impact, and occasional estimating duties, as well as scoping of changes for impacts within the shipyard.
The Change Coordinator has frequent, regular interaction with all levels of MMC's operations/senior staff, customers, regulatory bodies, and major suppliers, including interaction with the Customer, as requested by the Program Manager or Change Control Manager Assesses. He/she reports the financial impact of project status to budget, estimates detailed costs for change proposals and what is affected by the change, and provides preliminary design and schedule impacts for each designated change. The Change Coordinator has prior understanding of the shipbuilding process and working knowledge of Government design change proposals. He/she works with all engineering disciplines to scope out specific work regarding government designs, and is responsible for monitoring design development with all disciplines of the engineering department.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or 5-years of shipbuilding experience. Candidate must have 3
years of progressive responsibility in administration, management control and/or accounting of technical/professional services in the shipbuilding industry. Knowledge of marine systems including but not limited to: structural, outfitting, machinery, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, etc. is also required. Candidate must have working knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), be technically competent with Design Software tools such as AutoCAD, ShipConstructor and NavisWorks, and have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
He/she must be technically cognizant in one or more shipbuilding disciplines, have strong negotiation and contract/sub-contract vendor relation skills, and have successful problem resolution skills. Candidate must have the ability to read/analyze program metrics, have cost, schedule and program management skills, have an understanding of risk/opportunity and change management. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands to handle materials or equipment; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
