What you will do This Product Manager position is responsible for managing assigned portions of the Foam and Foam Hardware segment of the Special Hazards product line. Major responsibilities include managing product line profitability, owning new product introduction and obsolescence, overseeing cost-out/value-engineering initiatives, coordinating new market expansion, defining and managing market research and assisting with brand development programs. Significant cross-functional interaction and project management is required across the organization with the Global and Regional Sales and Business Development teams, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing and along with our external customer groups. The Product Manager will report to the Director of Product Management. The position can be remote within striking distance of Marinette, WI with the ability to travel onsite approx. one week a month in the beginning of employment and taper off as the learning curve shrinks. How you will do itManages the growth and profitability of all assigned products in aggregate, in product groupings and across regions. Reports out on business health monthly to senior management through formal and informal presentations Oversees New Product Introduction (NPI) and supports Sustaining process:
collects Voice of the Customer information to develop critical commercial specifications, builds a fast concept to launch plan and then works cross functionally to get products launched to market as quickly and effectively as possible with launch KPIs to support Formulate pricing strategies and tactics that increase margin Offers insight for cost-out/value-engineering initiatives, approvals, re-certifications and other product needs with cross-functional players Works closely with Technical Services and Marketing to ensure all technical documents and marketing literature are accurate and disseminated. Identifies emerging markets and products needed to effectively compete in such markets Develop and maintain a multi-generational roadmap for a assigned product/line offering Executes successful channel strategies that deliver growth Establish product positioning and differentiated value propositions to increase market share Develops concepts for new products in existing markets/channels Deliver detailed business cases for new products/enhancements Specify targets and milestones, develop accurate product forecasts Achieve product line revenue and profitability growth in multiple years Demonstrates leadership role with cross-functional teams Travels within the regions to diagnose customer and product needs, enhancements, and new applications What we look for RequiredEight or more years in product management, project management, sales, and/or strategic marketing One to three years of project management experience with a focus on strategy, product development, and/or business process improvement Four (4) year degree in business, marketing or an engineering/technical field. Proven ability to drive results amidst organizational ambiguity Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Strong financial and general business acumen Presentation skills a must Experience working in a matrixed business structure and working collaboratively with multiple functions on joint programs Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Previous experience within the fire suppression industry Experience with SAP, Micro-Strategy, PowerBI a plus MBA.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Brand Marketing & Management, SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
